The Moreton Island Fishing Classic is an event that draws people to the water, the sand, and the sharks that live between. When we were asked to make a watch for it, we didn't want another Apex Hunter with a different dial. We wanted something you couldn't buy anywhere else. Before the event, during the event, or after.
So we're only making twenty. Numbered 1 to 20. Only fifteen available to reserve.
The Apex Hunter was already the right watch for Moreton. Its water-textured dial mirrors the ripple across the flats at first light. The pattern you're reading before you cast. The shark seconds hand sweeps the same patient rhythm as the predator that shapes those bays. Always moving, always reading the water.
200m water resistance. Automatic. 316L marine-grade stainless case and bracelet. The same alloy that lives on boat rails and dive gear, engineered to shrug off the chloride pitting that eats cheaper steels alive. Rinse it and it comes home looking new. It's a watch that already belonged on the island. This edition just makes it official.
Look at the watch on someone's wrist and you'll see an Apex Hunter. Nothing extra. Nothing broadcasted. That's the point.
The inner bracelet and the automatic rotor carry a customised pattern designed just for this edition. A mark you can only find with the watch off. Undo the bracelet, or flip the caseback and let the rotor turn, and it reveals itself. From the outside, nobody knows.
It's a signature between us and the twenty people who own one. That's how we wanted it.
